Adam Hicks is an American erstwhile actor, rapper, singer, and songwriter. His first leading role was Joseph “Joe” Guire in How to Eat Fried Worms (2006). He gained recognition for playing Luther in the Disney XD series Zeke and Luther (TV series, 2009–12).

Career

Adam Hicks had a recurring role in the second season of Jonas as DZ and appeared as Boz in the third and final season of the Disney XD Original Series Pair of Kings (TV series, 2010). He had a recurring role in Titus (2000) and had roles in various movies and television series.
He then appeared in Mostly Ghostly (2008) alongside many other Disney Channel stars and portrayed Jason Zimmer, in the erotic thriller The Boy Next Door in 2015. Hicks appeared as Clint in the independent drama film Windsor (2017).

Music

Adam Hicks recorded a remake of the MC Hammer song “U Can’t Touch This” with Daniel Curtis Lee and showed the music video for the song on June 29, 2009, on Disney XD. He made a remix of Mungo Jerry’s song “In the Summertime”. At the end of 2010, he wrote and recorded the song “Happy Universal Holidays” with the actress Ryan Newman.
He released a song called “Dance For Life” in 2011 with Drew Seeley for the sitcom TV series Shake It Up, which was featured on Shake It Up: Break It Down (2010-2011). He later co-wrote the tracks called “Determinate”, “Breakthrough” and “Livin’ On a High Wire” for Lemonade Mouth.

Arrest

On January 25, 2018, Hicks got caught in Burbank, California, along with his reported girlfriend, actress Danni Tamburro, on a suggestion of armed robbery. He went through a mental health opinion to figure out whether he was capable enough to stand trial for the charges.
They put the arraignment and the following trial off and sent him for a better medical examination. On July 10, 2019, he appealed not guilty to counts of second-degree robbery and attempted second-degree robbery. But he got locked away to five years’ imprisonment for armed robbery in July 2021.
