BharatPe Controversy
Bhavik Koladiya co-founded the Indian online payment application BharatPe in August 2017 in New Delhi. Bhavik and Shashvat Mansukhbhai Nakrani began another company named Resilient Innovations in 2018 that later run BaharatPe.

One of the co-founders of BaharatPe Ashneer Grover went on leave from 19 January 2022 till March 2022. During this time, an internal audit and governance review of the company was conducted by the board members of BharatPe in which it was disclosed that there was a fraud in the usage of company funds. The notice was sent to Ashneer Grover, who resigned from the company immediately. He stated in an answer to the notice that the board should let him operate BharatPe according to him or they could buy his share in the company for Rs. 4000 crores. Ashneer Grover demanded the resignation of BharatPe CEO Suhail Sameer over the issue, Suhail was supported by Shashvat Nakrani, who is a co-founder and director of BharatPe. Bhavik Koladiya and the chairman of the board, Rajnish Kumar, were accused by Ashneer Grover on 23 February 2022 of misbehaviour and misconduct over the phone. Ashneer Grover blamed Bahvik for using bad language. After a few days, Ashneer and Bhavik Koladiya were in news headlines for fighting over the share in BharatPe. Madhuri Jain Grover, the wife of Ashneer Grover, blamed the senior members of BharatPe for improper conduct. Ashneer Grover remained the single largest shareholder of the company on 1 March 2022 soon after his resignation from all the positions in BharatPe.

- According to a media source, Bhavik Koladiya was involved in a credit card fraud in 2015 in the US and was detained by the American police for the same. The judgement of his case was stated by District Judge Mark Hornak of the US. Bhavik Koladiya used the bogus name “Bob Patel” of Monroeville, Pennsylvania and used to work as an operator at “Atwood Xpress” company in Oakland. He stole the identities of the customers of the US Bank, Chase Bank, Discover card to open bogus bank accounts in their names so that he could buy diamonds and other valuable merchandise products with the bogus credit cards. These allegations on Bhavik Koladiya were put up by the US Department of Justice in 2015.
