Biography
From a YouTuber to debuting his first movie as a supporting actor in 2019, Harsh Beniwal has proved that persistent efforts and the ambition to separate from the herd are real. Born in February 1996, hailing from Delhi, young harsh always wanted to create something meaningful and make people laugh. Initially, he used Instagram as his go-to and created short funny videos to build his audience.
Naturally, people started loving harsh’s humor and his storylines. He then decided to tap a larger audience by joining YouTube. He entered the world of YouTube in May of 2015 and began with posting his short Instagram videos on YouTube. Although, people were showing constant love to harsh, harsh on the other hand was planning something bigger. Part of greatness is never being satisfied. Gradually, he started making videos solely for YouTube and teased them on his Instagram. He assembled a team of talented and hardworking people and the rest is history.
Harsh is a dog lover and loves to watch new movies as his pass time. He particularly loves Varun Dhawan for the enthusiasm he shows and Deepika Padukone for sheer effortless talent. His favorite color is grey and loves to eat Italian and Chinese.
His initially YouTube videos were like vines, where he either roasted someone or acted out a storyline. Harsh saw exponential growth in his audience and decided to become a full-time YouTuber. He dropped out of college in 2nd year and gave his all for YouTube, he was about to complete his Bachelor’s in Computer Applications from Shri Aurobindo College, New Delhi. He has a full-fledged team of video editors, actors, and writers, though he mostly writes his plays himself.
Team members are, Mohit Chikkara, Pria Beniwal, Pratishtha Sharma, Purav Jha, Anmol Prasher, and many more. Currently, some of his team members Mohit Chikkara and his sister Pria Beniwal have their own YouTube channel. Mohit usually posts behind-the-scenes footage from Harsh’s videos and Pria creates daily vlogs and vines.
Harsh then decided to shift from vines to YouTube episodes. He was among the initial YouTubers who posted videos for more than 30 minutes on his channel. The most recent series he posted is named “Who killed Jessica” which is like a murder suspense comedy. His YouTube channel is managed by VCOI Digital Media PVT.LTD. and the channel has more than 13 million subscribers. With his YouTube fame, harsh landed himself a role in the movie Student of the Year 2 where he played the part of Puggi who was Tiger Shroff’s friend. Harsh was also seen in a web series called “Who’s your daddy”.
Harsh has created rap parody songs on his YouTube channel. He has posted more than 1800 videos on his channel and now he also has a second channel named “Harsh Beniwal 2.0” where he and Purav Jha use a baby filter and talk like 10-year-old kids who babble while talking. He has named his Shonty and Purav is named Poplu.
