Ojas Joshi Biography
Ojas Discovered his passion for music early in his life and enrolled to learn Indian Classical Music from the tender age of 7. He holds a Sangeet Visharad (Bachelor of Arts) from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya and has mastered the art of performing Indian classical renditions of Bollywood songs using his Guitar. His belief in keeping a balance of Arts and Science led him to pursue his Scientific Career in Pharma and he also holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Ojas migrated to the US in 2007 to pursue his master’s in Pharma and his musical career took off with the launch of YOUTUBE in the U.S. His unique renditions of Bollywood songs on YOUTUBE caught the attention of the desi audience and he was chosen as a YOUTUBE promising artist in 2008.
After performing at various locations in the US like New York, New Jersey, California, Texas, and Boston he returned to India in 2012 to pursue his entrepreneurial aspirations. Due to his overseas stints, Ojas got an invitation and an opportunity to perform at locations like the Kala Ghoda festival, TEDx, National Stock Exchange (NSE), MIT School of Management, Sun and Sand, Beach box (Alibaugh), Blue frog (Mumbai), etc. His independent and unique music style has grabbed the attention of the veterans of the music industry.
Career
Ojas is the founder of India’s largest artist’s community called MUSIC JAMMIN(MJM). The idea of MJM is to give a platform to all budding artists and musically oriented people to come together, network and unleash the artist hidden in them.
Founded in 2012 MJM is proud to announce that it has more than 50,000 members in the MUMBAI chapter and presently has chapters in multiple cities namely Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Goa.
Ojas is also the Director of a pharma here called Paona Chempro in Mumbai, which is in the business of manufacturing pharmaceutical/Chemical/Specialty Chemicals.
